Oh boy…something fun and different this week. Nora Dunn of The Professional Hobo started a new series on her site, Financial Case Studies. We’ve seen Nora here on Vagabond Way back when Chris and I participated in her ‘Week in the Life Series.’ If you missed it, click here and read about one of the best weeks of our life in Australia where we completed a life long dream to swim with whale sharks.
But this week is talking about $money$. That one topic that everyone always wants to ask bloggers and travelers about. In the world of blogging and online entrepreneurship there are many different ways and amounts of money people make. This is really no different than any profession a person can choose to go into.
Like all of life, there are endless ways to carve out a living. Nora’s series provides an inside look to different ways all types of people (singles, couples, families) have found and chosen to make a living working and traveling. Because we keep detailed financial records, Nora chose us as the couple to be featured in the book she wrote, Working on the Road. That book is jammed packed with all sorts of tips and resources to help get folks set up for success to find ways to earn a living while traveling. The book breaks down an individual, couple (yours truly!) and a family’s cost of living on the road for a two year span.
So for now, here is our take on how we have been able to carve out a niche for ourselves to work and travel in a financially sustainable way. I LOVE this series on Nora’s site. Whenever I see a new case pop up I immediately click on it because I am so curious to see how other people live. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy:
Also, house keeping note, if anyone has had trouble commenting on the blog, please let me know. I have heard a few folks had an issue and trying to figure out if it may have been spotty internet or another problem. Thanks so much! 🙂
