Resources

When we first started traveling, figuring out how to plan for a trip seemed overwhelming. Little by little we figured out companies that just seemed to make traveling easier! Here are some of the resources we use and have been helpful in making our own travel and life better. Thank you for stopping by!

Accommodation

We use Expedia for a large majority of our hotel bookings and flights. They are great! I have used their customer service before and often their cancellation policy can't be beat. Make sure you sign up for rewards right away. $3 here and $5 there can add up quickly!

Agoda offers a lot of great options ranging from home stays, B&B's, small and large budget options. We use them a lot, especially when we travel around Southeast Asia. If you are booking last minute, you can also find a lot of great last minute deals with Agoda.

house sitters 300x300

House sitters is one of the best networks to find both house sits and house sitters. With locations listed all over the world, this site has a reputation of pairing trusting house sitters and owners together. You might be surprised by what and who you can find!

Flights

Skyscanner lists a lot of low cost airlines and can be good for looking at a lot of them at once. This might be helpful particularly if you are flying around Europe and Asia.

Vayama can be a great site, particularly for booking international flights. This is always a good site to browse and look at all their deals for comparisons.

Booking Company

After spending over two months going overland across ten south African countries with Intrepid Travel, I am sold on this company! Our experience with Intrepid and small group travel was so fun. I was impressed with Intrepid's commitment to sustainability and also support of local communities we traveled through. If you are even thinking about traveling like this, check out Intrepid Travel. We were so pleased with our decision to book with them.

GAdventures is an awesome small group tour adventure company. We traveled to Egypt and Jordan with them and absolutely loved it. They do good work, support small businesses, spread the money around and run fun tours. I would book again with them for a great adventure!

Gear Company

REI is a great company that sells outdoor and travel gear. They back all of their products, have a strong commitment to the environment, consistently is ranked one of the best places to work in the US and you can become a member and earn dividends back on your purchases. We buy a lot of our gear here because we know it's well tried and tested, and, if there was ever a problem, REI would make it right. This is a great company to support.

Travel Insurance

World Nomads may be a great travel insurance for you to get. It's geared towards travelers! No matter what, make sure you don't leave home without travelers insurance. Tons of travelers use World Nomads so have look and see if it will work for you.

Courses

In my time of blogging I have learned a few things, one of them being it can be worth your time to pay someone else to help you! If you want to have a blog, and make it great, you are entering a whole other world. It pays to get advice from one of the best blogging courses out there to help you succeed. I've used SuperStar Blogging and there is a ton of valuable information in this course.
