Super Star Blogging Course Review

I started blogging because I had ideas I wanted to get out to the world. I wanted to build a platform to be able to connect with people and hopefully inspire others to feel like they could have influence over the direction of their lives. I wanted to share stories and observations I found to show our actions matter and our life does not have to be full of drudgery. The only problem was I had no idea how to start blogging.

I spent weeks, and really you could almost say years, trying to learn how to set up my blog for the long haul. I knew this wouldn’t be easy (I am not a very techie person), but I also knew I could no longer ignore those nagging feelings in the back of my mind urging me to put my ideas out there. So without knowing what SEO was, the difference between blogger, wordpress.org or wordpress.com I set about spending countless hours researching what it all meant.

Today I know so much more than I did three years ago, but I have also put a lot of effort into learning and looking for resources that I felt were the best value to help me achieve my goal of becoming a successful blogger. If any of you out there reading this are feeling overwhelmed and not sure where or how to start your blogging journey, oh my gosh, I have been there. But there are some ways you can mitigate your stress and give yourself one of the most crucial aspects to being a successful blogger: time.

If blogging has taught me one thing, it’s to know when it pays to seek expert advice from others. I know I am not the only person who’s wanted to create blog and not known where to start. I have gone through Nomadic Matt’s Super Star Blogging Course and let me tell you, it’s something I wish I had done a whole lot sooner in my blogging career. Taking this course helped give me the focus and forward thinking to:

  • strategize long term
  • ensure I had key SEO tactics initiated on my site
  • give me instant access to lists with some of the best networking sites/groups for bloggers
  • help me think creatively of ways for my style to shine
  • most of all – act as a constant resource and source of encouragement for me not to give up!

Nomadic Matt is one of the top travel bloggers out there. When I want to be better in an area, I seek advice from those who are at the top of their respective field. If blogging has taught me one thing, it’s to realize when I want to better myself at a certain task, be it blogging, food, photography, it pays to seek out those who are better than me.

I follow all Nomadic Matt’s updates and now he is offering:

Blogging

I have gone through this course in detail and it has helped me continuously grow my site and become a stronger blogger. Nomadic Matt has built his reputation on being: honest, consistent, focused, inspiring and having great content. This course walks you through the process of how he has been able to build a six figure working blog, website and business.

Travel blogs are a dime a dozen on the internet. It takes dedication, skill and knowledge to even have a chance at being competitive. You want to be…

Blogging

If you know you want to go on a big hike, a well prepared hiker saves their money and buys a good pair of hiking boots. Yeah, you could get cheaper boots at Wal-Mart, but most likely those boots are going to blow out and you will soon have to buy another pair. And then another pair. And then another pair. And before you know it you’ve spent more money on four crappy pairs of boots than if you had just bought a good pair to begin with.

I wish I had just bought this course at the very start of my blogging journey. I know it hard to just be starting out with something and justify dropping money into it. But by stitching information together I ended up paying more than the price of this course. It would have saved me so much time and money if I had just plopped down my card at the start. Values included in the course are:

  • Private facebook group access
  • A certain amount of tech support is included to help set up your blog. I ended up both bartering and then paying someone $70/hour to help me with the tech side of my site.
  • Monthly webinars and private facebook group
  • Hands on help (yeah, um, I could have used that!)

You can get lots of free stuff on the internet or pay for sorta good information, but sometimes, at the end of weeks, months or years with ok information, it’s like, seriously, you should have just put the money down to get the best information to begin with. I have gone through Nomadic Matt’s Blogging Course and bottom line, in comparison to the hiking world, it’s like investing in a pair of top notch boots. They may look expensive at first, but ultimately you are making a long term investment on yourself and you’re worth it.
