We Said Go Travel Independence Entry

I think things, a lot of things happen for a reason even if we do not see that reason in the moment. I remember back in 2007 when we moved to Utah. It was a huge risk. Chris and I loaded up our Saturn station wagon. The usual protocol for a move across the country was to stuff the car as full as we could, put a soft top luggage carrier on top and have our bikes on the back. As long as the back end of the car didn’t sag more than half way down the rim of the wheel, we considered it good to go.

We were driving out for a six day job interview in wilderness therapy, which at the end of, we may or may not have been offered a job. Likewise, we may, or may not have wanted to accept the job, if it were even offered to both of us. But, we went anyway. And through the year and a half that Utah was a part of our life we learned many things. One of the greatest lessons we learned was about the freedom of the mind. I wrote an independence contest entry for Lisa’s We Said Go Travel site and you can read about it here.

Utah was such a wonderful part of our life. I recently talked about two small adventures we had out there when we visited Bryce National Park and Zion National Park.

I loved living in Utah and was so thankful for the opportunities that were presented to us while living there. I hope you enjoy this week’s piece:

Hopefully. Now that I have talking about Viktor Frankl I have been hearing his book, Man’s Search for Meaning coming up all over the place. There have been some other really nice entries!
