Look at Beautiful Winter Wonderland At Stunning Seyon Lodge
March snow storms seem to be a thing this year creating a Winter Wonderland up at Seyon Lodge in Groton, VT. It’s as if winter just wants to hang out as long as it can this season.
Here is a series of photos from the recent March snow storms to show what we have been getting.
This season we really haven’t minded riding out the waves of winter.
There is still such a beauty to the land in the winter time.
This area is soon to have watery waves that will ripple across the pond. For the moment we have snow waves.
Oh the fishing will be happening…soon.
Soon? Yes, soon, fishing will be happening soon!
The path to the pond is covered in snow.
If you can even get to the path!
There has been so much snow recently I have had to literally wear snow shoes to get down to the pond.
The drifts have been so deep.
But it is worth getting through the barriers to get down to the pond for sunset.
Look at the snow just hanging out on the lamp post!
Oh there is a fire, tea and hot cocoa waiting inside the lodge.
Take note how high the snow wall is!
Ah! Winter we’re after you! That is Tiff with the roof rack to get snow off the roof.
Oh there was a lot of snow.
Chris has been doing a ton of cross country ski trail grooming!
But fear not, before you know it the winter wonderland will be over so fast! Just like these snow flakes careening across the pond.
Seasons bring change. The snow will melt and spring will come. We have loved our winter here and will soon transition back to our smaller camping park, Townshend State Park in southern VT. Sometimes we feel like the snowflakes in the photo above – we are always on the move and not quite sure what formation we will end up in. But even though we don’t know what our ending formation will look like, we know we are on course to somewhere. To wherever that may be, thank you for coming along on this journey with us.

Beautiful as it is it just looks so damn cold and at this point I’m really tired of it. Of course I’m not looking forward to the acres of mud that that much snow is going to make…
Oh, well during the warm up and melt there was already so much mud! Yeah, we’re not looking forward to that either – but we will be on a trip! 🙂
let it snow, let it snow….somewhere else! LOL still the pics are great
see ya soon
Haha, well it has been the year of snow! We have been in the sun the last three weeks but according to my facebook feed a lot of people are sick of winter!
