The Site is Moving!
The site is moving! I think the site will stay with the same address www.vagabondway.net and all should work well to have an automatic redirection.
Ah! What am I about to do!?
Paul Revere may have galloped up cobbled stone streets decreeing the British were coming and I think this announcement is a modern day equivalent. This site is moving, so we all better get ready because who know’s what will happen.
There are some great step by step tutorials online for making the switch from this blogger platform to a self hosted web site. I have some lifeline folks in the back ground generously answering my kindergarten level website development questions and I am sincerely grateful for their assistance.
Here goes nothing.
I’ve done things to prepare and educate for this switch, but in case vagabondway disappears for a little while or aliens attack, you can pretty much guarantee I am giving myself more grey hairs trying to figure out where and how I messed up the coding. Don’t worry, vagabondway.net is out there somewhere!
Don’t leave us or give up on us 🙁
It just means I got stuck longer than I had hoped figuring out a problem, but I will sort it out eventually.
Please work. Please work. Oh pretty please work.
Deciding to make this switch is huge metaphor for life when we push ourselves to try new things or make big life decisions such as having a baby, getting a puppy, buying a house, or if you are not very computer savvy, making switching to your very own self hosted website. Common things I hear people and myself say:
- Holy crap, this scares the hell out of me
- I really have no idea how it will go (I have my hopeful preconceived notions, but really, none of us know how these things will go until we make the leap.)
- What if it all screws up?
- It’s not the end of the world. Thousands of people have made the same decision I am making right now, *it’s just new to me, so that’s why it’s so scary.*
