  • Holy Mackerel!!! The experience of a lifetime! Fantastic post with fantastic photos of these rare creatures! Thank you.

    • Holy Mackerel indeed! We had so much anticipation on hiking to the gorillas. It was spectacular and I only wish for more and more people to do the same so they too can see how incredible these creatures are and be more driven to conserve them. Thanks!

  • I never knew of a morning in Africa when I woke up and was not happy. Ernest Hemingway.
Appears that there are two “vagabonds” that may feel the same way. I am happy they do all their hunting with a camera and not weapons. Good job

    • Boy do we ever feel the same way. We were just talking today about how amazing each morning is to wake up in Africa. Just amazing, amazing continent. Have loved everything so far – especially these awesome gorillas! 🙂

  • Nice job Tiff. The eyes of these animals are so majestic and captivating. Amazing animals.

    • Oh, tell me about it! Aren’t those eyes something!? Those little babies. So innocent. I thought they were so captivating as well.

What an honor to be with those furry little guys! Amazing job Tiff and Chris!

    • You know, the hair on the babies was a lot different than on the adults. On the babies, it was like this mass of controllable fluffy cuteness. Adults had more groomed hair that had lost it’s baby fluff. Glad you enjoyed! Thanks. 🙂
